Amazon is becoming the Phoenix West Valley's Largest Employer!

Amazon is bringing thousands of Jobs to Goodyear, AZ! (Phoenix West Valley)

Amazon has built two more Major Distribution Facilities in Goodyear, a “Merch by Amazon” storefront in Avondale, and another cross-dock facility in Surprise. All are bringing in significant employment from now through 2021.

Amazon has been in Goodyear, AZ, for over a decade now, with three other fulfillment and distribution facilities in Goodyear. These two next major facilities will be robotics facilities, where THOUSANDS of employees will work side by side the robotics to fill and pack orders.

By 2021 Amazon will be the #1 employer in the city of Goodyear. Are you curious what this cross doc facility is? Well, after some research, I discovered that a cross doc facility is a place that receives goods from suppliers and sorts these goods into alternative groupings based on their delivery points. So basically, a sorting facility.

And the Merch by design storefront coming to Avondale, Arizona, is something that Amazon rolled out for new business owners to make it easy for them to create a brand. They assist you in logo creation, product creation, and will ship the product for you – assisting in the growing small business and entrepreneurial efforts in the West Valley.

Amazon announces they will be building a delivery station in Surprise as well.

A representative from Amazon says, “We planned out several years in advance and put into the process where we wanted to locate our facilities. We look at the workforce and community partners—and Phoenix has an abundance of talented workforce. We aim to be as close to our customers as possible,”

I speak for much of the West Valley when saying we are excited to have Amazon in the Phoenix West Valley! Jobs, Economic Growth, Booming Real Estate!
