Asante Park and Library | Surprise
Asante Park is a Surprise, Arizona hidden gem. Tucked away behind the Asante library and nestled inside of a neighborhood, this city park literally seems hidden, and it’s one of our favorite parks in Surprise.
(The pictures don’t do it justice!)
Asante Park has grass fields for days and sidewalks to accompany them, so this is a great place to ride scooters or bikes. There is even a tunnel nearby, and my kids love tunnels, so that’s a big hit.
The playground has a treehouse theme with even a “tree limb” to climb up. The playground has two play structures; one for the younger kids and one for the older. The park has both bucket swings and traditional swings, but no all abilities swings.
🚽We love that both the bathrooms and ramadas are close to the Asante playground, so I can sit and see my kids playing on both playgrounds and can quickly rush them to the bathroom if need be!
Another aspect of Asante park that we love is that the Asante library is located right next to it, so oftentimes we will go in the library, browse and grab books, and then read them out in the grass fields before or after the park play.
The Asante library is small but beautiful. The entire building is made of wall-to-ceiling glass; it’s such a unique and beautiful piece of architecture.
The Asante library always has free crafts and activities to take home; plus, they offer regular outdoor storytime.
⭐️A parking tip is that you can either park in front of the library and walk back to the playground or park in the neighborhood and get VIP parking right next to the playground.
If you live or are visiting Surprise, AZ, Asante Park and Library are both Surprise must-visits with kids!
