We took the kids on a narration cruise across Lake Pleasant in Peoria, and the experience was more fun and way more beautiful than we anticipated!

Jordan and I have done water charters in both Hawaii and Fiji, and as Lake Pleasant is not an exotic island, the views of the mountains and water during the cruise were stunning! We also loved all the fun facts we learned during the narration.

For example, we learned how the burros got there and that Saguaros can grow up to 5 stories tall!

⭐️The Pleasant Harbor Cruise duration is one hour and thirty minutes, and everyone under the age of 12 is required to wear a life jacket. I was surprised that the life jackets didn’t bother my kids and that the duration wasn’t too long to keep their attention.

We kept the kids entertained by going back and forth between inside and out. They absolutely loved the opportunity to drive the Pleasant Harbor Cruise boat and were thrilled to spot animals during the lake narration tour.

The only thing I wish I would have done is brought coats! It was a chilly day but was even cooler on the water – so definitely bring coats just in case.

No outside drinks or beverages are permitted, but snacks are available on the boat and are affordable. For example, a big bucket of popcorn is $5, and a small is $3. Alcoholic beverages, soda, and water are also available to purchase.
