Axe Throwing and Escape Room | Surprise, AZ
One of our favorite date night activities is axe throwing, and our favorite nearby location is Badazaxes in Surprise, Arizona!
I feel like axe throwing is one of those things that one would automatically think they’d suck at, but in reality, it’s much easier and more fun than you would think!
Axe throwing at Badazaxes starts off your session by giving you a 10-15 minute tutorial of the best techniques for throwing axes and introducing you to four different axe throwing games to play with your partner or group.
This last time we went, one of my girlfriends was convinced she wouldn’t do well but surprised herself with totally crushing it!
Badazaxes is a smaller axe throwing venue, but I like smaller environments for date night, and bonus this location in Surprise lets you BYOB and Food, but no open, hard liquor permitted after 4 pm.
The axe throwing at Badazaxes is a fun and unique date night experience in Surprise.
⭐️ Badazaxes website says that “it’s fun for all ages” Children who are capable of throwing an axe safely and competently are able to throw!
⭐️Discounts for throwing are available on Tuesdays, and they offer BOGO on Wednesdays – plus military discounts.
Badazaxes just opened an attached Escape Room to their facility, expanding the fun! It’s a spooky-themed escape room called the “Haunted Mansion.”
My husband and I have gone through several escape rooms in the past ten years. The Axescape room located inside Badazaxes was very challenging and offered surprising features and interactive pieces that we haven’t seen in other escape rooms!
…and that’s all I’m allowed to say about the escape room! No details of the room can be shared other than – IF YOU’RE NERVOUS ABOUT BEING LOCKED IN A ROOM – Don’t be!
You are given one hour to “escape” during your time in the escape room, but the doors Are Not Locked. During our session, I had to pee SO BAD, and I literally opened the door, ran out, and ran back in!! Haha The doors are Not Locked!
⭐️Children can participate in the escape room, and special accommodations can be made for younger children to participate – call ahead to request those arrangements.
