The Best Parks and Splash Pads for Young Toddlers in Surprise

If you have a little walker, these two parks with splash pads in Surprise will be a big hit! They both have suitable-sized play areas for young toddlers and the perfect-sized splash pads!

1.     Dick McComb Park – Surprise Farms

Dick McComb Park, located inside of the Surprise Farms neighborhood, is great for young toddlers!

It’s a small park so the kids can’t get too far from your eyesight and the playground perfectly suits them. There is a play structure geared towards slightly older kids but nothing that you have to worry about your little one climbing and getting lost or stuck in, as some of the larger parks offer.

Dick McComb park in Surprise does have a large grass area to play and run in, plus plenty of room to ride scooters or balance bikes on.

If you have a skateboard lover, there is a decent skate park walking distance from the splash pad, as well.

I love the convenience of the bathrooms at Dick McComb park. They are located a few feet from the splash pad.

Speaking of the splash pad, it is so cute! It is a pirate theme with a giant anchor and pirate flag. The splash pad is operated by a button and splash pad hours are 6 am-10 pm, which is AMAZING because many splash pads do not open up until 10 am!

The splash pad is seasonal and only operates from April 1 – October 31.

2.    Heritage Park – Marley Park

Heritage Park, located inside the Marley Park community, is perfectly designed for little walkers or young toddlers.

Heritage Park is also a small park, so the kids can’t get too far from your sight, but there is also plenty of space to run in the grass, scooter, ride bikes, etc. One of our favorite winter activities is riding our bikes through Heritage Park and under the tunnel!

You are likely to catch some baseball practices happening with two baseball fields directly in front of the park during the early evenings.

Restrooms are located between the two baseball fields.

The playground is the perfect size for little climbers, with two bucket swings available, and the splash pad has the perfect accommodations for young toddlers as well. Plus, the splash pad is shaded, and that is a major bonus in my book!
