I ask my community on Instagram to tell me favorite breweries in the Phoenix West Valley, and these are the breweries that were shared, many of them several times! Each one of these are locally owned and operated, listed in order of popularity per the survey and located West of the 17.

Saddle Mountain

Saddle Mountain is located in Goodyear, Arizona, and is known for its revolving tap, craft beers, aviation theme, and friendly service.

State 48

State 48 has multiple locations in the Phoenix West Valley, Surprise, Norterra, Glendale, Downtown Phoenix, and their largest location is currently under construction in Goodyear.

State 48 Brewery consists of 4 different breweries, each featuring its own style and offerings. Each location has a brewhouse and brewpub onsite and a scratch kitchen to complement their craft beer.

Peoria Artesian

Peoria Artesian is located in North Peoria, Arizona. I have heard incredible things Peoria Artesian brews, food and ambiance! Peoria Artesian is a family and community oriented brewery and gastropub that takes great pride in crafting in-house brews on a 5 BBL (155 gallon) brew system. Enjoy their house brewed fermented creations and fresh New American cuisine.

Throne

Throne Brewery has two locations, one in Glendale and the other in Peoria. Throne Brewery’s beer selection is constantly on rotation. The Glendale location offers beer and food, while the Peoria location only offers drinks. Throne regularly hosts community events, from trivia nights to comedy shows.

Ground Control craft food and drink located in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Ground Control is a respected bar, restaurant, and coffee roaster brand. Ground Control regularly hosts events like trivia night, live music, wine tasting, and every Wednesday is their “Hot Chicken Challenge.”

8bit Alehouse

8-Bit Aleworks is located in Avondale, Arizona. 8-bit Aleworks is a craft microbrewery located in Avondale, AZ, with a retro-gaming theme.

Located in an industrial complex, the brewery creates unique and refreshing craft beer in small batches. The brewery includes an attached tasting room that seats 46 guests and offers NES, Super Nintendo, arcade cabinets, and tabletop games for guests 21+ to enjoy.

TCBC Brewery

Transplant City Beer Company is located in Litchfield Park, Arizona. TCBC is a nano brewery, and nano-brewery, in this case, means one barrel, handcrafted brews. They don’t offer food in-house, a nearby pub provides the food; however, you can order the food through TCBC brewery, and the food will be delivered to you. This is a small “hole in the wall” pub with a lot of charm.

Cactus Taproom is located in N. Peoria. Cactus Taproom highlights local and featured Craft beers, ciders, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. 2 rotating taps of craft beers and ciders as well as specialized wine selections and regular trivia nights.
