Free Train Rides and Train Museum | Glendale
Adobe Mountain Desert Railroad Museum in Glendale, Arizona offers free mini-train rides every Sunday from 11 am-3 pm. Their website says to book ahead, but we just dropped in a were able to ride, no problem.
This miniature railroad park is run by retired train enthusiasts who build these trains and take visitors on a 20-minute ride around their train park for free.
Adobe Mountain Desert Railroad does accept cash donations and donations via PayPal.
The Adobe Mountain train park also has a free train museum for the kids to enjoy with oversized model trains, toy train tracks to play with, and a large electric train track to observe; Thomas the train can be seen on the electric tracks too!
The retired train enthusiasts who tend the museum and conduct the train rides are happy to give special insights and information on all of the trains at the museum and on the track!
Adobe Mountain Desert Railroad in Glendale is such a fun ambiance with fun facade walls that are actually storage containers for the model trains.

Adobe Mountain also hosts a beautiful and entertaining Christmas train ride during the Christmas season.
Itโs a small facility, but it brought my family and me big smiles! We spent two hours enjoying the train ride, museum, and railroad grounds.
