Solider's Pass Trail | Day Trip to Sedona — Discover Phoenix West Valley

My girls and I took a day trip to Sedona. On the drive up, we decided that the trail we would hike was Solider's Pass Trail, and let me tell you; this is hand's down one of the best trails I've done in Sedona and is well worth every moment; of your time!

Solider's Pass Trail is a 3.5 round trip hike that takes you past two Sedona additional Sedona sites:

Devil's Kitchen, Sedona

2. Seven Sacred Pools, Sedona

The trail's final destination is a cave with the most incredible views.

The parking at the Solider’s Pass Trailhead is extremely limited. So, check the parking lot first, but if none is available, you'll need to park near the dog park about one mile up the street. From time to time, this is a woman there, with her minivan, who will haul hikers back and forth from their cars to the start of the trail.

If there is no parking nor a woman available to drive you the distance from the dog park to the Solider’s Pass trailhead. I am here to tell you that that extra mile of walking is worth it. This trail is stunning.

There is very little shade, so if you hike this trail in the summer, prepare for that and start early.

This trail is suitable for kids around eight years and older.

I would rate this trail moderate, the end of the trail has some rock climbing and steep incline, but other than that, the Solider’s Pass trail is not too challenging.

If you'd like to get in some extraordinary views, you can climb the rocks that lead you to the peak just above the cave.
